Myriophyllum sibiricum – Northern Water-milfoil

Northern Water-milfoil

Scientific Name: Myriophyllum sibiricum

Description

Northern Water-milfoil can be found in ponds, marshes, streams, lakes and sloughs. The plant roots in submerged mud and grows to the water's surface where it's upper leaves and white flowers float. Northern Water-milfoil is excellent for water filtration as well as nitrogen and phosphorus fixation in the soil. It is very resilient as it can grow in nutrient-poor conditions. We recommend planting in water 30 cm to 170 cm deep
